My 40D "clicking"

Hey guys dunno if you can help but the last few times ive connected my 40D to my PC it has clicked, like constant clicks until you get it to connect to say bridge to download the pictures off it

anyone else had this??

I dunno if i have any warrenty left as i got it in November 2008 from Warehouse express.

Also its just passed 10k clicks aswell if this makes any difference??


Any help would be good

Have you tried connecting to the camera when it hasn't got a memory card in it?

It's the way you say it stops when the mem card is being read makes me think it could be that.
 
Always connect your camera with it switched off, then switch it on.

If you do it any other way it can have a fit. I was told this by a pro so it's the way I've always done it on my 40D and now my 5D2.
 
I always connect my 50D with it switched off, and never had a problem with it.:thumbs:
 
Turns out, the camera only does it with a 10-20mm lens fitted to it lol

i had my longer lens on it and it never clicked the whole time ..............strange
