Yesterday saw the proper start of my 100 Strangers Street Photography Project.

A few of us from my monthly camera group (it's not a camera club) hit the Market Square in Nottm to attempt to take the portrait photo of a stranger. This is homework for us set by the last guest speaker who came in, as he was a Street Photographer .

Not easy to do!!

I thought having the link was easier for people to go directly to all the photos I've done.

Very pretty girl. More than welcome to have her photo taken. I'm quite pleased with the result. I did use a Directed (up) Flash gun, Then took one without. After a bit of altering in RAW I fould the one without the flash gun used looked better.

have a loot at my recent 100 stranger photos.. they're on FlickR
 
I've been tempted to try and do this but it is alot harder than you'd think. I wimped out and got no shots in the end. Good luck
 
Well done you have a great set and a nice range of different people and backgrounds. i would love to have a go at somthing like this but a little scared! Could you talk us through how you appraoch people and explain what and why your doing this to them?
 
Do you just approach and go along the lines of 'can I take your picture?!?'... The idea of walking up to somebody and snapping away scares the **** out of me.
 
more or less... being joky and a smile on your face helps... then give them a Moo card so you look kosha. ;)
