Edit My Images
Yes
Ok help needed please people, I have some pictures taken while in york that I would like to show all in one frame but with different images, dont know if that makes sense. Ok I want to make one big picture with lots of little ones (think that makes more sense) how can I do this.

hi sue

montage you mean, you would do that in photoshop or similar, layers are your friend, there did used to be a tutorial on that once...

you need to open a new blank canvass the size you want then open all the images you want to use in the montage and using the move tool (v) drag them onto the blankcanvass resizing using the edit/transform/scale thingy...these will all be on different layers so make sure you click the layer you want to move about once you have dragged them all on :) hope thismakes sense :thinking:

<useful photoshop hint>
Hold down the LEFT SHIFT key when scaling images. This maintains the aspect ratio (the width of the image remains relative to its height).

DP Mag gave a CD away a while back where they had pre-prepared image grids. Basically a white canvas with black squares. You select a black square with the magic wand and then select your image and use Edit>Paste into special. roberts your mothers brother. If you go to the DP Mag website they might still have them to download if not I could email the tutorial on how to make your own some time. If your after a montage programme that uses lots of little photos to make one big one like those starwars posters the serif do a programme called montage plus which I have a copy of.

hey Kev...I've never used that 'paste into special' but now I know how to use it...fankoo :)

My pleasure M

Lumapix Fotofusion does a pretty good job. Select the files and it will provide random montages or you can select where they go :-)
