MS Photos app activated when importing to LR

Seems an odd one ...

When importing images into LightRoom on Windows 10 the photos app is being activated, sometimes using as much as 30% of the cpu ...

Only using 7.1 above but the grab shows the app in question.

Anyone have any idea why this may be? I never use the photos app so maybe I should just remove it ...

Brief spec
Windows 10 Pro up to date (64 bit) , Latest version LR CC, core i5, 16Gb ram, ssd disk for apps, ssd for scratch and hdd for data. Plenty of aspace on all of the drives btw.

It'll be updating the library. There's a way to turn it off. One tick.

Back: Open the Photo app, click settings, remove the list of folders that it's configured to look at.

That will stop it updating libraries, building montages, and all the other crap it does.

Obviously, if you use it for any of those, you probably don't want to stop it.
