I am looking for an mp3 player about £50 is what I have put to one side for one.
Ideally it has to be battery operated, not usb chargeable, and the ability to browse albums etc.
Anyone got any good reviews about any fitting the above criteria ?

Do you mean one that you can put "normal" batteries in ??
 
Why not usb chargeable? You can get adapters dirt cheap off ebay to connect a usb cable to the mains.

Advanced mp3 players have a "matchmaker" service here which may be of use.
