mp3 bird calls ?? where can i download them?

Hi Guys,
I've just start trying to snap birds and i''ve been told that playing recorded bird calls is the best way to attract them.Is there a web site anyone could recommend to obtain these sounds for free? or any other advice on getting some goods shots to help this noobie!!

Don't know of any sites, but I must advice caution, especially during nesting time when other birds calls may distress them!

dont know of sites with downloads, but the RSPB site has some to listen to, and they sell a CD for about 20 quid i think with all british bird calls on.

Andy,

I would agree with Purpleclouds regarding using 'fake' calls to try and attract birds to your garden. As well as any distress, you'll most likely attract far more cats than you will birds which defeats the object entirely.

Before embarking on an obscure route, why not try the 'tried and tested' way of putting varied sorts of food out for them I know they'll appreciate it far more than a crappy MP3 and might just reward you with a good shot or 10 for your efforts.
