If I stare at the middle it doesn't move, but taking in the whole scene

On my laptop screen I can see a sliding motion, looking on my phone screen I see no movement whatsoever, weird!

Same for me. I'm guessing it appears to move because most of the time our eyes do not stay still but are continually changing what we are looking at.

For me, when it moves the ball on the left appears to rotate slowly from left to right, though the apparent movement is slight. The apparent movement in the big hour glass shape is much more obvious from right to left.

Fascinating.

My missus posted it on facebook yesterday, didn't see anything then don't see it now. When I first look at it theres a very short illusion of movement but when I try and pin it down it just goes.
