moving dark streak on acer monitor

Last night this 3-4mm thin black streak appeared on my few months old Acer. It almost looks like its something over the LCD matrix and it managed to move down 10cm almost instantly this morning. It shows up with 2 different macs connected.

What is this and will it disappear or get worse? Its obviously under warranty so must get sorted if it stays? I just wondered if anyone has dealt with ACER and what was experience like - i.e. does it involve dropping it in person at Telford and waiting a month?

If it is still there when reset to factory standard then there is a problem so best get it in for a warranty replacement.

The bit has now disappeared after moving around for a couple days. If it makes a come back, whatever it is I hope it happens within the warranty period!
