Hi Guys,
I've got a years worth (about 400 - 1 minute files) of .mov on the computer taken from my iPhone. A lot I'll just be using a few seconds worth.
Any ideas the best way (to retain as much quality) of getting them into a DVD. Presumably converting to .avi then importing/editing into movie maker?
Editing is basic, just removing chunks here and there to get it down to a movie length of around 30 mins or so keeping interesting bits and bobs (be a lot of wastage)
I can see a time consuming job here :)
Cheers.

Should add, I can see there are converters from .mov to .avi but will this give the best quality? Should I put to mpeg?

Hi, I had to edit some video files the other day and found an amazing free program called Videopad (I think!). I think that it can open .mov files (it definitely exports them), but it's worth a look and IMO is much better than movie maker.

Cheers 'banana....will look into that...
Been a few years since I've done any vids, so long it was when I plugged my little camcorder into FireWire pre iPhone :)
:)

DVD is MPEG2. Convert direct to MPEG2, do not convert to DivX (for example) then "author" the DVD. Just getting them into MPEG2 doesn't mean you can just drag and drop onto a DVD though (sorry, I'm not familiar with DVD building tools - I'm fully streamed here and the only DVD/BR players are in the PCs for ripping....)

Ok, thanks for the suggestion....a nice little job for the next rainy weekend :)
