Have done a bit of a trial videoing in MOV format and posting on Youtube (private setting) I am finding youtube can't cope and caused juddering when panning. This doesn't happen using Flickr.
So is there any platform to put a video on similar to youtube but more up to date or can handle MOV better . No problems using MP4 format on either platform.

using flickr example MOV format and producing smooth scrolling

Have you tried Vimeo?

Could you export in mp4, not many cameras use .mov now.
I did mention no issue with mp4 but the youtube quality is not that good in comparison with what is sent. the exercise it to fiknd the best with transmitted MOV format

There are some key points uploading to youtube.
Don't upload 1080p even if you only recorded 1080p upscale it to 1440 or 4K.
Their own resize to 1080 from 1440 or 4k upload is always better than your own 1080 upload no matter how high a bitrate you send.
Rendered bitrate doesn't need to be too high, for 1440 25mbs is fine for 4K about 40mbs

no is that the same as youtube?
It is a video hosting site, used more by professionals. It is less fussy than Youtube for content. e.g. in a way it assumes that up-loaders know about rights for music etc. whilst Youtube just blocks stuff.

You have to pay to upload above 1080p
Youtube doesn't block much at all these days.
But there may be an advert (not on the video) for the tune you used.

Not sure that's right now? There are other limitations of Free Vimeo.

They may allow 4k now by the look of it but there are still restrictions for example 1GB total unless you pay that is only about one 3minute 4K video.

MOV isn't exactly a popular format now, is it? I use Clipify to edit MOV files and then convert them to MP4 because some devices won't even handle MOV. Is converting an option for you?

Is there any reason you want to use MOV over MP4?

I use MOV output for log footage simply because it allows me higher bitrate codecs. If I wasn't grading from scratch and in need of the extra bandwidth, I'd just use MP4 to be honest.

Adam I do use MP4 anway or MOV for home use only. I was only wondering if there were any other free platforms to use other than youtube to save videos that can handled MOV format
