What is the best way to mount a Nikon 70-200 f2.8 on a Manfrotto 322rc head?

Can I use the standard PD Standard plate?

Managed to find a plate that came with my tripod and that seems to work fine.

Standard manfrotto QR plate, the same as what you found is the easiest.

However as you will find the QR plate will loosen as will the ball head on the 322RC so you need to be sure the camera and lens are balanced on the tripod head otherwise it will droop.
 
Thank you, works fine with the plate in the tripod, but as I need it to work with the peak design slide, I have ordered their plate.
