Yes
I have been interested in these for a while. My interest is two fold and I will cover them individually (please reply if you have any experience or information on either front)
Two clipin filter systems i have looked into are (I shoot with sony but I don't think that matters for the purposes of this discussion):

#1 - ND filters for lenses that can't take regular filter
this solution would solve the issue for lenses that can't take physical front filters but they also solve the issue needing to own different size filters or rings for different lenses thread sizes.
But I have heard/read that especially with UWA lenses this may be not usable because of focus shift due to adding glass inbetween the rear element and sensor. Also seems like it can cause some field of curvature issues. I contacted Kase and their rep said it would be fine and I can achieve infinity focus using MF. Somehow I am not convinced and I rather not buy and return them.

#2 - IR photography (for longer term)
I used to have separate IR bodies in the past. I have always had full spectrum bodies (some that I converted myself) and used filter on lenses.
It'd be nice if I could use these clip-in filters instead of filter on lenses. Also I wonder if I could use UV IR cut filter to use them as a "normal colour bodies".
Again the question here is the same... will there be any focus issues caused by using clipin filters??

I had a clip in filter in the old Canon 350D I use for astrophotography before a friend performed surgery on the sensor. It wasn't easy to fit and remove, which wasn't an issue for me as the camera wasn't used for anything else. Obviously not the same as the ones you're looking at but something to look into.
