Having never done this, I fancy giving it a go. The closest tract to me is Castle Donnington. Does anyone on here go to that circuit, and are there decent areas all round the track for photography. Also how about other places? I see Oulton Park mentioned a lot, is this any better a location?

I've been to Donington a few years ago. It's great for watching racing. The Craner Curves are really good, lots of angles and often some very close wheel to wheel racing there. Sure you would find a lot of threads in the Motorsport section if you typed "Donington" in the search

I found 400mm was required for head ons but even a 70-200 can be close enough for side on pans or paddock stuff :)

Enjoy it!

P.S Oulton Park is my favourite UK race circuit though, very pretty. But if you are near Donny go there first and get used to it :)

Don't forget Mallory Park is not too far away and generally you can get a bit closer there than you can at Donington Park

Admission is for the day.

Oliver`s Mount Scarbrough, your really close to the action most of the top road racers will be there next month for the September 15th & 16th Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup Road Races.
You pay per day it is quite hilly so if your not good on your pins you will need to stay at the top of the course.

Darley Moor in Derbyshire has a lot of club racing and Cadwell Park isn't too far away either.
