Major fraud.
I recall one where a torch fell off a table from where it was put down, it just rolled off, at the end of the program they described it as an unexplained bang.
Derren Brown did a seance show, worth reading:

I'm a sceptic but I do enjoy watching it.
My sister organiser's ghost hunts like this and I went on one last year (£50
and no family discount:nono: ).......the believers in the group reported seeing and hearing things but I sat in a pitch black prison cell on my own seeing and hearing nothing unusual apart from some scratching on the wall :shrug:

I tend to watch it even though i know Derek was exposed as a fake, I think its because they all jump when there's the slightest bang. I do keep an open mind when it comes to the paranormal but i do think this is crock.
I do like Derek though he makes me smile everytime i see him, he's made loads of money from being on TV but still wears cheap suits. It just goes to show you can take the man out of Liverpool but not Liverpool out of the man

In my period of internet inactivity while we moved house, I found myself watching all Derren Browns shows, and reading his books.
Very fascinating read. I'm becoming more and more fascinated by the way the mind works, and this includes the culture of belief there is, connected with spirits and spirituality.
There was one passage in Derrens Book, now although he doesnt mention who the TV host was, I suspect it was possibly Derek Acorah (or someone like him). Basically they went to this supposedly haunted pub, and the researchers did their job, researching this haunted pub etc etc, and when filming, the medium/host spoke of communicating with spirits, and what not in the pub, and came out with a story of a murder, of how this ghost came to be there.
What the landlord didn't let on, was that he'd made the story up quite a few years before to attract interest.....lol

Absolutely agree, I love all paranormal stuff & loved watching it until there were some outtakes shown in which Stuart (I really hate that guy!) just picked up a glass & threw it at Yvette (not knowing that he was being filmed at the time & to add insult to injury, I think he missed!) kind of put a dampener on it & made me think that even if something was caught on camera, I couldnt believe it as certain members of the crew were deliberately making stuff up (Stuart 
:razz: ). Most comedy thing is the fact that the most haunted team recorded themselves testing their new thermal imaging device & called it... Most Farted (I kid you not!!) in which... well, you can probably guess

I also find "Haunted homes" really funny, that Mia Dolan is an even worse actor than Derek Acorah
& I can never hear her reciting her latin prayer without cracking up - ever since Harry Hill pointed out that she said chihuahua during one of them Enough LoL smilies for one post I think!
Incidentally, I have actually seen ghosts (or something like them) myself & am not as much of a sceptic as I once was.
