Thought Id make a start posting rather than just lurking.

Starting to get back into things quite heavily now after upgrading from a fuji bridge (s200exr) to a 600d. Passed the bug onto the missus who after inheriting my Fuji for about 3 weeks bought an 1100d and wants to get into astrophotography as well as macro (2 polar opposites lol).

Could rant on all day, but I'll keep things short for the mo and post up all manner of gubbins in the relevant places. In the meantime, here's some of the shots Ive taken up to now..

Thanks for that.

I think macro is where I see myself spending a lot of time and money The bulk of the shots up to now have been taken with the kit lens - EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II and a screw-in +10 diopter (spelling?).

Rather than buying loads of glass at the mo (got an 18-55, 50mm f1.8 and 55-250), I picked up a few screw-in "adjusters" for the kit lens(es) including the diopters and a 0.4x uw adapter to get a feel for different views without having to change lens. It's working out quite well while I get myself, and now the missus, up to speed.
