Have recently being looking at some new hardware, updating old, replacing and even swapping manufacturers.
I have managed to stop myself once to ask why, before ploughing on with the research
Anyway, I've been on and off with photography over the last few years, even got the odd good photo. At least that is what the wife tells me and that is enough to justify the expense.
Had been using a 350D, previously a K1000 did the work for a decade or more. So I was using a 350D, then got a little too bogged down carrying kit. Or not taking it to the crag; I'm a climber/mountaineeer. So I invested in a PnS by the way of a Ricoh GX100 which I've been very happy with... Great for those panorama, street and close up wide angle shots.
Until this weekend when I was injured and forced to watch my mates climb and not actually climb. They all had Nikon dslr's, with zoom and I missed the slr feel, lag(less) and range... I also realised I missed thinking and taking photo's...
