More Sad Global Warming - Sea Ice at its lowest ever for the time of the year

really bad what’s happening, don’t know why someone thinks it’s funny

It's worrying, in 2014 we visited the Franz Josef glacier in NZ and were able to get fairly close to a spectacular viewpoint. We visited again in 2022 and the landscape had changed dramatically. The previous walk along the moraine river bed was no more and at the nearest access point for viewing the glacier it was barely visible. The degree of retreat over 8 years was truly shocking.

its really bad for Arctic Ice now as a lot of people do not understand what the problem is, it is not the actual melting of the ice oddly enough.
The main issue is when the ice is in place it reflects the sunlight back and thus prevents the sunlight being absorbed by the sea, now the ice is going the sun heats the sea contributing even more to global warming and its all man made CO2 that is accelerating this change.
 
When the likes of NY & New Orleans floods 'they' will no doubt still see this as non-human activity climate changes. I surmise that many similar low lying areas globally will be affected as badly. Though by which time all the hand wringing in the world will not change anything.

Oh, another surmise would be that Musks children will be living on his Mars colony by then :lol:

yup the USA is also the 2nd biggest polluter its people think the word CLIMATE is the button they press on there truck to cool the air down

Oh yes, and without opening a hot topic.......................do I recall that Trump at some point said something along the lines.....what Global Warning, its been cold, snowing & wet here....does it feel like we are getting warmer...???

Trump hopefully in 4 years just history
in 10 or 20 years hopefully dead
in 50 years he will be recorded as just a big mistake for the USA
 
Unfortunately it will happen it’s to late to turn the clock back on, but we are probably the last few generations who care , most of my grandkids and great g/ kids don’t watch or follow the news taking faceberk , tik.tok and other social media as the truth .. if anyone has ever watched the film the Time Machine the latest generations are becoming like the eloi people expecting everything to be put in place for them without doing anything to help
 
I’d prefer we didn’t have to wait 10/20 years to see the back of dt.
