More RAW conversion problems

I am once again tearing my hair out, trying to get the RAW files from my Canon 6D to open up in Elements 9.
I have downloaded the DNC from Adobe to convert them, but the images still will not open in Elements.
The RAW files have downloaded OK and are present in my "pictures" folder.
Can anyone please tell me how I can convert the whole batch of 112 RAW files so that they appear in Elements, because I am fed up with using Canon's own software.

You may need to step back the comparability option in DNG converter. I'm not sure what version of DNG Elements 9 supports but try setting the version two or three generations back. You could also download a trial version of the latest version of elements ( its 13 now ) and see if this works OK. Elements 9 is probably 5-6 years old now so some incompatibility can be expected.
