I got my new 50d today, with a nice shiney 17-85mm IS USM and a 10-20mm.. I will use my bg e2 grip which will be super..and may even take some photos

i will get some shots up, comparisons between it and my 20d, and between the IS lens, and the tamron 28-75 i have..amongst other things..

A lovely big thanks to Marcel, he sorted out the nitty for me, i had unspecified credit card issues on the day but Marcel kindly put his own families finances at risk so i could have a camera that i wont use often.

by the time i got back from sainsburys it was dark!

he missed posting it cos he had some dude round his house all afternoon eyeing his mrs up and eating his biscuits

LOL By the time my Mrs got home, PO was closed, so couldn't make it.

I wouldn't have had to pick it up for him if there was a Jessops within 100 mile of him with a decent stock level :p

Tempted to take it out of the box and see if it's sharper than mine :naughty: :p

His Mrs wasnt there so couldnt eye her up unfortunately lol And he didnt offer any biccies, but did have a rather nice Cuppa tea and a mince pie :)
 
Oh poo, forgot the biccies. I have a rather big box of Borders' Biscuits in the kitchen! Missed a trick there :D
 
i knew he had biscuits, he told me he was gonna hide them and give you an old manky mince pie...

Ven i intend to not use this camera at all, it cost lots so i dont want to wear it out..
 
had a quick play, nice handling camera, bigger than the 20, with a hugely impressive screen! settings are out of the box, flash on as its dingy as hell here, and the iso whacked up to 640, resized and a small bit of USM applied. Total snapshot and nothing more!

overall impressions thus far are good, though i do find that the images are very washed out with the settings untouched, i will have a read of the manual and see if i can tweak it out.
