I'd like a plugin that allows me to crop an image for printing onto multiple panels at once, then outputs the panels as separate files.

Is something like this available does anyone know?

So say I wanted 3 panels, each 12in x 24in with a 2in gap between the panels, I'd like to be able to create a template of the 3 panels, then drop an image over the 3 together of 40in x 24in, set the DPI for the printer and output as 3 files ready for uploading. Really hoping someone can help here.

If I understand correctly...

You're making a triptych with a single background image and three images spaced out over it?

So essentially, you're looking for a solution to splitting one image into three?

My suggestion would be either
Photoshop:
- Create new document 40 x 24 @whatever dpi
- Import your BG image as layer 1
- Import your three tripych images as layer 2, 3 & 4
- Get the guides up and position your 3 images.
- Crop the LH one to 12 x 24, save, undo, crop the middle one, save, undo, crop the rh side one, save, undo, save it all as a template to reuse if you need to.

Or, try some fiddling around in Lightroom with the custom print package in the print module (which you could save & reuse as a template once you'd finished fiddling). Depends which software you have - but I suspect Photoshop would be easier.

Your final alternative of course is to print out the whole 40" pano and cut it up with scissors/guillotine. Don't suppose that's much help though.
That's my tuppence!
