Monsal Head

Fingers crossed I'm hoping you take a stroll around Monsal head in the peak District this Saturday after work. I'm going mainly for the weir on the river wye, hoping for autumn colours and I know there's the viaduct too.

Have any if you fine folk been there before, any tips?

Take your wellies.

Depending on the rainfall over the previous days, there can be quite a bit of shallow water and wading out can often give a better point of view of the weir. Be careful though, some of the underwater rockery can get quite slippery.
