Hi, i'm looking to buy a monopod for my d2x, but due to it's size and weight i'm not sure which model to consider:thinking:.
Any suggestions welcome.

kind regards, icky

most monopods will do the job. Head choice is a bit more critical.

think as for head you only need a tilt, no need for panning. I have a mono-pod which has it built in only a cheap one but it works for me

Depends. I use a ball head on mine. It gives me a little more height which is occassionally useful, and the QR plate is useful. The head has to cope with what you are going to fit on it, and how you plan to use it.

Can't play sound in the office, but if that works for him, then yes. Everyone works in different ways and there is often no right way of doing things.

so you not hear him say what rubbish a monopod it is then

Thats one of those clever Neotec monopods. Maybe that he's overloading it? I always prefer lever locks as they're easy to operate in wet conditions, with one hand, whilst wearing gloves. I find twist locks harder to operate in those conditions.

think i will do more research on tinternet and go visit some shops, but it sounds as if most good brand monopods will do.
thank you for your help.
regards, icky
