Monopod Question

Right I am going to get a MANFROTTO 685B Neotech, but am confused about what head to get.

I have my own homemade bracket for my 100 - 400 that is based on the Manfrotto 393 Heavy Tele Lens Support but is lighter and has a quick rel plate on the bottom to clip onto my Tripod Ball Head, this works so well, and I would like to use this on the Mono too, but the 234RC Quick-release Head for the monopod says max 2.5kg.

Any suggestions?

Would a Tripod head fit the Monpod? All I want is the quick Rel and tilt.

As far as I'm aware, monopod threads are the same as tripod threads (Certainly within the same brand anyway). I have a ball head which I use with both monopod and tripod.

Fantastic, that is what I was hoping to hear mate. That would make things very easy for me.

I am sure you will be fine, even using other brands, as I have Manfrotto tripod and head and then so that I could use the same plate I bought another Manfrotto head to use on my Velbon monopod.

I use mine without a head at all! Can't do portrait aspect shots but other than that it works great.
