I have just ordered a Manfrotto 685b Neotec Monopod. I believe it doesn't come with a case so can any of you fellow groovers suggest a good carrying case for it?

Saw it demonstrated last year at a Heather Angel workshop by a Manfrotto rep and I liked the features. Thought it was about time I had a good monopopd. Thinking of sometime this year of buying a Sigma 50-500mm lens.

Ok I got the sigma 170-500 just before xmas and need some support its too big to handhold without fast speeds at the long end ..... will check out the one you looking at, where did you get it from and let you know if i come across a bag too.

Ordered it from Amazon but their supplier seems to be CameraKing who I have used before.

I have the 685B. It's not as compact as some, but it's very quick and easy to use, with the height being instantly adjustable up or down with the squeeze of the trigger.

I normally just carry mine in the hand - it's an ideal length for serving up Manfrotto rash to would-be muggers. ;)

I suspect the straps on side of my Lowepro commerical bag might carry it but would prefer case!

Never thought about a case for my pod but maybe a look at some of the fishing rod bags/cases mightr be worth a look. Theres some fancy ones about now, unlesss of course your looking for a brand name to match the pod.

I'd be really interested in finding out how you get on with this one. I've been thinking about getting one for a while. I do a lot of shooting in dark crowded comedy clubs and whenever I want to swap lenses from the 200 f:2 I have to compact the monpod first to make sure it's not a trip hazard. Being able to compact and extend with one smooth movement would be great for me.
