Mono in elements 6

Hi all. Tried a search but didnt find anything. I am a newbie to processing and have just got hold of elements 6. Whats teh best way to create a mono image. I have dragged the saturation down but the pic looks all grey and flat.
Any tips?

In the tool bar at the top there is one called image. Go into that and there will be a black and white option. Click that and there are a number of different options. Hope that helps.
