As I am still editing images on my Dell 17" laptop, I think a proper monitor would make things easier. Have seen this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/241849

Is it any good? Cannot afford to spend silly money on one.

Thanks

define your budget?

looks good for the price, but the thing is, youl never know till you see it on

but if you give me a figure il have a quick nose around and see what the best available is, if you like

A lot of people use dell and ips panel but they are 200 plus

a refurb 2209wa on ebay is about 170 ish

I bought a 2209WA and highly recommend it. All the reviews at the time said it offered the best "bang for buck" if you specifically needed a phot editing monitor

Pick up a dell u2311h. Well worth the extra imo!

:plusone:

Mine arrived this morning and I'm most impressed! A massive step up from the Neovo F-19 I've been using for the last 5 years, although to be fair it's done me proud.

£227 from eBuyer - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/222838 - and although expensive compared with some, pretty good value when you put it up against it's closest competition

Contrast ratios arent great on that screen by the looks of it, but it will be a nice TFT no matter what, just not as good as an IPS or screens mentioned above..

Can't beat the Dell 2209WA, great for photo and video editing. Plus the extra USB ports come in handy

I know... i said its not as good as an IPS or screens mentioned above :)

Had a peek at this thread, I've found a few refurb Dell 2209WA on eBay for £165 ish with 1 year warranty, think I should take the plunge? Been after a decent IPS for a while now

i ''think'' you dont get the manuals etc etc

as many of these adverts refer to downloading manuals...?

Ignore. The screen is fantastic! In monitor review it was so close to calibrated out of the box all if did was turn the brightness down a bit.
