Monitor recommendations

Its time to upgrade my monitors as my current dell 24in is suffering from a bit of burn and my other doesnt match in size.

I havent kept up to date with monitors so can anyone recommend either a 24in or 27in IPS or samsung equivalent (as i thought they brought out their own technology - but that might be out of date). I`m hunting for reviews as well but recommendations from people are always great.

Dell u2711 is quite good, the new model 2713 is a quite different but not bad choice either. Some hate the antiglare filter, but if you sit back and keep reasonable distance (40-60cm) it is not an issue at all - it's a very bad idea to be closer anyway. If you like glossy you may want to look at apple 27" but I personally can't stand the reflections
Samsung one is also apparently quite good (the non glossy one I'd suggest) but I haven't used those
 
I've just spent a few weeks researching and eventually went for this one a couple of weeks ago.

Very happy, calibrates fine and loads less tiring on the eyes compared to the Dell.

Don't bother with a 27", unless you get a very expensive one, instead use your old one as a second monitor.

As always depends on your budget...?
