Can anyone recommend an affordable monitor calibration kit:bang::bonk:

IF you have a look through previous posts on the forum a lot of people mention the Spyder system, infact I think there are a few travelling around...

Personally I use a Spyder 3 Pro, but am not 100% happy with it and wish I'd gone for something a step up from that such as the EyeOne.

Also look at the Huey

I've just calibrated mine with the Spyder 2 Suite, bought from Kerso.

I am amazed at the difference, my photo's actually look half decent now, but everyone else's look amazing now.

Well worth the money.

I went for the Eye one display 2 and am over the moon with it. Little more expensive than some, but recommended by several people (including the agency I am hoping to be accepted by) and has delivered perfect results when I did several prints for a show I put on this week. Simple to set up and use, quite speedy too. Buy it, simple as that.

See colormunki recommended but twice the price. it will also do paper profiling:bang:

Ding, got the Eyeone today but found the installation not too easy. It didnt autorun.
Anyhow the quick start instructions tell you briefly how to calibrate. At the end, point 5, it says to measure ambient light you clip on the white plastic attachment but it doesnt tell you what to do after that. Also, for some weird reason a lot of my prints are darker. Cant sus that out:bang::bonk:

Another query. Does anyone know what this message means in the EDITOR - PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 7 WINDOW WHEN ABOUT TO PRINT.
'Some post-script specific print settings ( interpolation, calibration, encoding) will be ignored since you are printing to a non-postcript printer. I am using an Epson 1290:bang::bonk:
