Anyone here been suckered into one of these herbalife, juice plus, forever living pyramid schemes?

Or MultiLevel marketing as they now call it.

I've had a few "acquaintences" of mine try and recruit me or sell me this stuff and I always wonder how people get drawn in. It's almost like they are brainwashed and turn into this weird cult.

However, somewhere up the chain people are making plenty of money. So did any of you fall for it and get burned or have you managed to make some big bucks?
 
I guess some who work hard do make a go of it but IMO it's just a con. Friend does it but not sure it goes that well.

These scams always resurface over the years

I remember a friend's parents got screwed with Amway many many years ago. They got past the first rung of the SCAMway ladder and blew their first and only commission cheque on a trip to Benidorm. Somebody broke into their garage and stole all their Amway stock while they were away.

I am shocked anyone would fall for the scam irrespective of product.

Is Avon still around?

And It's really not the same thing.
MY SIL makes a bloody good wage off AVON :lol:
She wasn't "recruited", and has never had to, or tried to, bring anyone else in.

My cousin used do Avon

I kept getting 'Men's stuff' at Christmas.

Not sure how it worked but she lasted 5 years at it.

It was about the time Henry Cooper was advertising 'Brut' and was all the rage in Sarf London. Then come Christmas morning you would unwrap a pressie and get something "Avon"... thoughts of "Oh great...Avon"
