Looking to add one further head to our setup for adding lighting effects to tje backdrop. Mainly use a black lastolite panorama. Current heads are Elinchtom Style rx300.
Dont have the funds for an additional Elinchrom head and have been looking at Lencarta anyway. I know the ultrapro 600 would have the power to through coloured gells against the backdrop and the colour matching therefore also does not matter but wondered if there would be any issue with syncing ? Also, cam I get a floor stand and background reflector for the Lencarta?

No problem, they will work seamlessly together.

All of our heads use the same standard 16mm stand fitting, and so do Elinchrom, so either can be fitted to our floor stand. The background reflector will only fit ours or any other heads with S-fit accessory mount

It's Garry BTW:)

Sorry Garry, its the phone keypad not me ! Will get ordering.

Garry, no sign of the ultrapro 600 on the website, is it out of stock ?

The UltraPro 600 has been discontinued, replaced with the new ElitePro2 600

Mixing different brands, or more specifically different modifier fittings, is not a great idea. Might not be a problem now, but will surely be a right PITA somewhere down the line.

Elinchrom D-Lite 400Ws packs a fair punch for not too much money. Interfit and Calumet heads also use EL fitting, though I'm not sure I'd recommend either of those.

You are correct. For now have ordered a D-lite RX4 and background reflector and some nice Lee gels and will see how it goes.

Why has it been discontinued Garry ? and will the same happen with the Ultrapro 300 ?

Everything gets discontinued eventually, continued supply depends on continued demand, and new technology and new features on new model always leads to upgrades and replacements.

But all discontinued models - right back to the very first flash head that Lencarta first sold 13 years ago - are still supported and repaired
