Hi

I bought one of these

a while back but never got around to using it and only unpacked it today. It sits on the tripod very loosely and wobbles a bit when I tighten the very thin screw to attach it to the spigot. The cavity that sits over the spigot is just plastic and I feel there's a metal collar missing. Do you know if this would be a standard part and if so what it would be called?

Thank you for your help

We have one of these in the studio for makeup and it is quite wobbly. Do you have some spare aluminium to try making your own collar?

Hi Tim. Happy New Year. Is the bit the spigot goes in just plain plastic on yours? I had assumed there was a bit missing. It’s a shame if it is because the light is pretty effective otherwise.

Hi wooster, happy new year to you too. Ours is just plain plastic no metal for the connection. It does feel weak, but it works.

Hmm. Seems like this is the way it's supposed to be. Do you know of any ready - made solutions that I could just stick into the plastic cavity to secure things a bit?
