Hello

I was just wandering i have just bought a 70-200 VR 2.8 lens and i am getting a lot of blurred images

I have bought a monopod and tried yesterday but still its hit and miss

going to try with tripod today

Some one then said it could be the mirror lock up and on some cameras this can be turned off ??

any ideas

Thanks
Karl

Not sure what you mean here. If the mirror was locked up there would be less vibration. Also I think I'm correct in saying the D90 doesn't have mirror lock up except for cleaning. I think there's a mirror shutter delay mode though.

It does look a touch soft at that resolution, and to my eyes the drainpipe and wall on the right seems to be sharper than the subject. At 110mm and 1/400s you can pretty much rule out camera shake, especially if the VR is active, and at f/4 there should easily be enough depth of field to get all of the subject in sharp focus. Perhaps the lens is backfocusing a touch? Did you take any others of this subject at the same location?

Yeah i have a a fair few my edit came out the same scottthehat
but like you said the drain pipe more in focus that her ... its annoying lol

Im starting to wander if the little +/- button by my eye pice is out slightly making see different in camera do what is actually in focus!!
i was using a monopod to VR was turned off

ill just have to keep practicing!
