Minx's 52 for 26

I like the idea, it's quite inventive. I would like a slightly bigger opening, so I could see a little bit more of the subject.

Really have to focus there to appreciate that idea, nice!

Thanks for the comments. The brick work is the remains of old buildings possibly gunpowder mills and the leaf was the biggest I could find.

That works very well. The colour contrast really makes the reflection stand out, and you have the focus perfectly.

Well spotted that and you took the time to get the reflection nice and crisp.

Some nice vintage kit. It's nice to hear they are still in use. I'm sure I don't want to know quite what "not necessarily for their intended use" means.

I like both shots, but am leaning slightly towards the more jumbled shot - better memories of school kit storage I suppose.

I too am wondering what they are used for? The jumbled shot is more evocative to me.

I'm not sure I have seen the croquet mallets in use. The scouts play tray hockey with an old tray instead of a ball I guess they use these sticks, and the cricket and rounders bats are used both for their own sport and in an assortment of bats available in a version or rounders called 3 ball rounders, the third ball is a football and its kicked.

Proper vintage, second shot is most appealing for me, weirdly it has got some perspective with the large racket and small ball. Nice illusion.

Definitely prefer the chosen image and I like the low key effect. Part of my brain wants to very slightly rotate the shot clockwise.

Thanks everyone for the comments

I agree, I'm sure I did straighten it at som point but can't have saved it.
