Evening folks. Well, found this forum while looking for tips and advice on using my camera.

Been using a Fuji Film-S7000 Fine Pix for over a year (Got it for free!) And decided to buy me my own new camera. So this time last year i bought an Olympus E-510 after spending months reading reviews and comments on them.

I use a Sony DSC-H5 sometimes aswell which has a few lens (Wide + Macro)

Im a real n00b when it comes to it to be honest, I own a website/car club called "JDMtas - Japanese Track & Street" and use my camera to take Photo's for reviews and such like.

I am back and forth to Japan all the time and im really just not finding the settings right with my Camera  Hence why im here. I want to get the best out of it and im using it all the time. A few months back a friend of mine used my camera and for some reason its never been right. Iv tried everything i can think of. I dont really understand Iso settings etc fully even though i have spend so long trying to haha.

Anyways, I will show you some of my photo attempt's and hopefully you folks can point me in the right direction as id like to get me some lens for the Olympus at some point.

Hi & Welcome :D

Thanks for the welcome's guys. In your opinon's is the Olympus E-510 a good camera? From the reviews i read when i got it last year it seemed like the best for the money i could have spent.

My friend had a D40? I think, but spoke to him last night and hes away to get a D50.
I browsed for tips+advice on using the E-510 but not much came up. Just been reading up the stickie's on Shutter Speeds and such like too, good info in there.

Nice one Jackson, some good info in there, also good to see the comparasion.

Im at work so dont have the camera at hand, but i usualy shoot in P now with the flash off.
