Having Minox colour films developed is a complicated and time-consuming undertaking. Since I practically only take colour photographs, I have come up with a method that solves this problem. The same procedure can also be used for other small film formats, so it is not limited to Minox.
If you go to one of the photo labs in your area and ask if they develop Minox films, they will usually say no for the following reasons:
- They don't know how to handle Minox cartridges.
- They don't have special Minox equipment.
- Low demand, not economically viable.
- Manual labour and effort.
- Higher costs that customers are not willing to pay.
This is understandable, of course. However, I can now drop off my Minox colour film at any photo lab that develops 35 mm colour negative film using the C41 process. I have successfully tested this at a lab near me. I described how I do this in detail here:

Minox cameras take wonderful color photos. And the development? With my trick, you can have the Minox film processing done at any color lab.
