Just hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I acquired the above about 7/8 years ago and apart from putting a couple of films through it (to test it was working OK etc), it's sat locked away in a cupboard. It comes with a Tokina SD 28-70. It seems a shame to leave it as is. I've seen the odd one for sale on an auction site, but is this the sort of thing that might possibly sell on the forum classifieds (or would I be wasting my time?).Thanks

Might as well take some photos and put it in the Classifieds - doesn't cost you anything to do so!

I'd expect it to sell well if you price it fairly. The XD7 is one of Minolta's more desirable cameras. I bought one 11 or 12 years ago as my first film SLR and still enjoy using it.

many thanks. As you say, nothing to lose really. I am just looking for a good home for the camera.

many thanks for the comment. My only issue now is trying to determine what is a "fair price". I have looked at an auction site and the prices - both asked for/bids and achieved - seem to be "all over the place". I'm thinking it might be sensible to run another film through it just to make sure that it's in the same working condition as it was when last used. No reason to think it won't be.

Careful you might just fall for it [emoji6] haha.

One of the few things to watch out for with these old Minolta's is the degradation of the light seals.
