Minolta lens on sony cam

Hello

I have a minolta x300 cam, and a sony a350. The minolta has a 50mm 1.7 lens, but its system is different from the sonys. is there any way to put the minolta lens on the sony. Like a ring or somethng? Cse i was searching amazon, and the minolta 50mm 1.7 isbeing sold for the sony cam, and some people are already using it.

So any ideas? or the one being used is different than the one i have?

There are converters available to go from the MD mount (used on your x300) to the A mount that your a350 uses - e.g. this one. They do have limitations though in terms of metering etc.

The 50mm f/1.7 that you've probably seen in use is the AF version (which is fully functioning on A350) - you could probably pick one up in good condition for around £70.
