Hi

I just picked an immaculate little Minolta Hi-Matic 7 SII rangefinder this weekend with case and manual.

Anybody have any experience with one? also it states it takes a Everyready EPX-675 battery, could anybody please suggest a equivalent?

Any help or suggestions would be kindly appreciated.

Cheers

"Some cameras can take a 1.5V SR44 silver-oxide battery instead. The height is the same but the diameter is slightly smaller.
Apparently the Hi-Matic can take a LR44 as well, but I have not tested this. Beware!"

You can run it very efficiently on hearing aid batteries. That's what I do with my 7sII clone (Prinz 35ER, literally same camera without manual operation, but the same lens).

Cogratulations on the camera - the Rokkor lens you have on this camera is simply outstanding. As the metering system. Very accurate.

Thanks for your help guys, I've just ordered some batteries (Panasonic PR675H) and will run a film through it at the weekend, it's my first rangefinder so hopefully it will be a enjoyable experience.
