Anyone had experience of using this meter? What are your thoughts?

I purchased one yesterday on a whim which to be honest is not usually me but I needed a meter and a quick scan on google sounded promising so I stuck a bid in with 40 seconds to go. A little more cautious now as to whether it was a wise decision. Will be used primarily for setting up studio flash.

It's a great meter, was one of the go-to meters for years, I'm sure you'll be happy once you start using it.

Reassuring to know. That was the kind of initial impression I had got but doubts had started to creep in given its age.

Don't worry about it.
About 20 years ago I bought their mark 2 model second hand, it was old then and although I replaced it with their latest model some time ago, I still have it as a backup and it still gives exactly the same readings as the Mk 5 model.

These things were built to last.

Received the meter and its excellent. Exactly what I was looking for and as you say seems to be built like a tank. It's also not in bad nick at all for something thats almost as old as me.
