Thats basically 100% by volume, so 500 units , or 3p per unit ... okay so you'll go blind and probably die, but thats what addicts will be facing if we follow the price them out the market plan
Actually (as I'm sure you guessed), I was wondering about the cheapest alcohol which is intended for human consumption. But you've given me a great idea.

What we do is we make it illegal to sell alcohol for anywhere between, say 5p/unit and £1/unit. A lot of people would find that £1/unit wouldn't affect them very much - it's around £2.50 for a pint of beer of £10 for a bottle of wine. But the way this plan improves on a straightforward minimum price is that we've left an option available for the real addicts who can't, or don't want to, pay £1/unit. As a bonus they'll probably die quite quickly, which will save the NHS huge amounts of money through not having to pay for their care in older age. So all in all it's a real win-win. Who could possibly object?

oh and by the way junkies take heroin (which was once known as junk) , they don't take crack - crackhead take crack, which is made from cocaine but generally not heroin (unless they are the rich boy fraternity who are into speedballs (heroin and cocaine in the same drug) ergo Junkies arent crackheads and crack heads generally arent junkies
