I have a new MPB with the thunderbolt/mini displayport socket and want to be able to plug this into both my TV (HDMI) and an external monitor on DVI.
What's the most sensible cable/adaptor combo here?
Was thinking something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00675Q2CW/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=electronics which gives a nice HDMI feed with sound for my TV and then a HDMI->DVI block on in the back of the monitor?
The other option is an Apple HDMI adapter, an HDMI cable and a DVI adapter, or 2 Apple adapters and the correct cables but that would be an expensive option, and the DVI adaptor would mean a large block just to the side of the machine.
The monitor is an older Dell. I will upgrade in future but that will probably have HDMI or DP as I am looking at the Dell ultrasharp series so cabling is easier.
Thoughs?
