I just wish my work trips were that exciting 
Looks like tricky lighting conditions, but you've managed the 3 different layers of lighting well.
As said, just enough light in the sky to set it off. Good amount of detail in the building and the silhouetted foreground finishes it off nicely.
The fountain(?) just left of centre and the flag do seem to be suffering from over-exposure though.
If you shot in RAW I'd be tempted to try to bring some more detail back in for those 2 areas.
