Yes
I am not sure if this is the correct place to post but Adaptalux seem to have developed an interesting lighting set up for macro photographers Link

The link is to there Kickstarter page.

I have no commercial or other interest in this company but thought it looks good.

If I have broken any rules etc please accept my apologies and delete as appropriate

I've never supported a kickstarter project before, but I'm tempted to support this one. It looks like a very well thought through product and I hope they do well with it.

My first time too.

Just bringing this back onto the front page in case anybody missed it earlier in the week. Looks like a well thought out system and a good balance of features versus portability ( which is always a compromise).

adding a touch of caution to this

I kickstarted a great product through triggertrap and 18 months after giving them £190 I was told that it actually couldn't be done and was given a choice of letting them keep my money to help them develop future products or get a £95 voucher!

so although i love the idea of kickstarter and have had some great products off it, there are times when it fails spectacularly and you can lose your investment :(

Certainly there's always going to be an element of risk involved, Matt, but this project has been developed and the main thrust of the campaign seems to be to get tooled up for production and the necessary economy of scale (IMO)....working prototypes are shown in the videos.

This project has achieved its finance target with 2 days to spare....hopefully they'll now bring it to fruition without disappointing the backers.

I am pleased - roll on November

Only for olympus though.
Yes it uses the accessory port for power so will only work on a subset of Oly models - they dropped that port from the new E-M5 mk2. I picked up a used MAL-1 from LCE just this week and it's a very cool device. This kickstarter project appears to be a similar idea but with a lot more flexibility, although much more expensive inevitably.

Time to drag this thread back up to date. The original project ship date slipped from November 2015 to July 2016 but deliveries have finally got underway so here's a few early attempts showing some of Adaptalux's capabilities (I'm not the slightest bit artistic so don't let my missing gene deter you).
