Mid range lens advise .

HI , i, after a mid range lens 28 - 135 something like that . I have a 450d with Kit lenses 18-55 and 70-300 , but i use my nifty fifty most of the time , 18-55 none of the time , and 70-300 some of the time . I want something that i can use as a greneral `all the time lens ` any ideas please ? and price is a factor , as i cant afford hundreds at the minute . Thanks .

The Canon 28-135IS lens is a great lens, I used to have one and it was hardly off my body as a walkabout lens, there is also the Canon 18-135IS lens.

For good IQ the Canon 15-85 is hard to beat, good walk round range.

As a general stay on the camera the 15-85mm can't be beaten, miles better than canon's previous offering the 17-85mm, but it depends if you want that extra reach the 18-135mm ok, but only offers kit lens IQs, you would be better off going with the 28-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS lens instead.
