Its good but the only thing that impressed me about this was the wireless interfacing. The iPhone is coming out with similar technology in a month, and there were tech demos of touchscreen interfaces like this all over last year. So that part is old hat really. Just normal MS playing catch up. However, the wireless stuff is very cool. I do like that you just put your camera on it and it syncs, or your bluetooth phone and it syncs. Thats very nice. I can see all sorts of applications for that in the future.

I wonder if they'll do a screen that stands in the same manner as a normal tft so you don't spend your life looking down.

A standard touchscreen system, at least the ones demoed last year, were running OSX. That was quite a surprise. It wasn't some futuristic OS 20 years ahead of its time, just the same operating system you get on a Mac. I imagine this is running Windows Embedded of sorts.

indeed, how cool is this technology. i love the way in the video that if you go for a meal for example, you can just drag what you ate onto your credit card and pay for just that. Also love the way you can stick you camera down and share images with other devices like pda's and phones. I can wait for this to become a bit more mainstream

Yikes ...that’s impressive.

I imagine they'll tip the image 3D so you can view from an angle for a normal view. ..is not going to work on the wall is it.

saw this tech last year when Jeff Han gave a demostration, i thought MS just ripped the idea off but instead just bought the technology and jeff han is working for them.

Typical microsoft making out as though they invented this themselves.

Apple iPhone. It does almost all of that aside from the wireless syncing. If you watch some of the movies you'll see how advanced it is and how all this technology is becoming real for consumers.
