Hi all and bye all for now :D

Off very early tomorrow to Akumal in Me-Hi-Co!!!

Two weeks, 2 x 4Gb cards plus a 40Gb portable drive! (Oh and my 40D :))

I guess I won't be on here for a fortnight (wife's threatened to kill me if I get anywhere near a PC :D)

But you never know ;)

Behave yourselves while I'm away! And look after those Bees :)

And be prepared for lots of photos on my return (yawn!!!) :D

i've been to Mexico a few times, used to go regularly when I lived back in Texas (or I should spell it 'Tejas'...as used to be Mexico :D), have fun, wasn't my cup a tea lol....too touristy and commercial lol

And I'm 16 hrs from take off and 27 hrs from Me-Hi-Co :D
 
Hmmm pool and beach me? I burn to buggery :D

I'll be getting candids, architecture, insects (no bees will be harmed :D), wildlife, landscapes

Oh and some good old holiday shots :D

Have a great holiday, near to Akumal are Coba pyramid its the only one in Mexico that your are allowed to climb, and ancient Tulum and lots of cenotes underground flooded caves, also reptile place close to there to, 3 klm away is Puerto Aventuras and Dolphin Discovery, the marina admissions free, and you can swim with dolphins, manatees, seals and sting rays, dont know how much it costs to do that though, there are lots of caferestaraunts bars,

are you going to Chitzen Itsa pyramid, that's a 3hr drive away or 40mins by plane from playacar airfield. but you get to see the whole site from the air which is an experience that you don't see if you go by coach, I think it was about $320 for both of us, take plenty of water its super hot there

also catch the ferry over to Cozumel from Playa Del Carmen Round trip ferry was $21 dollars

wow, wish id have known to do all those things, may have enjoyed it more so then :D:D, all i did was sit on the beach with a pina colida and walked around lol, might have something to do with fact i was short on the 'ol brass and tourist prices...well, ouch :D hehehehe

Wow thanks Dave :D I certainly need more than the pool and beach to keep me sane :D

I wanted to see the pyramid and also we'd thought about 'Chitzen Itsa' :)

12 and a bit hours to take off :D

I'm back :D Mexico is fabulous!!!!

Didn't do quite as much sight seeing as I'd hoped but I'm going back there!

Coba's pyramids escaped me but we saw Tulum ruins and Xel-Ha and a few other sights!

Highly recommended!
