I carried my point and shoot camera's about everywhere. The Canon broke down and the Nikon fixing to it seem's. So been looking for another. Found a panosonis DMC-ZS 100 used at B&H, 9+ condition, for $434.95 Comes with battery and charger but had to buy SD memory cards, got two. $452.50. Supposed to be here this comong Wed. I really like having a decent point and shoot as really don't want to carry my DSLR every where. Finf a shot that is special to me I can always go back with the DSLR. Now I get to have the fidgit's waiting for it. Have been carrying my DSLR out in the field working with my dog's and the thing takes what I think are great photo's but sure is un-handy carrying it around!

Good luck with the new kit. I hope you;ll be very happy with it :D

Well it finally got here, three days late. Come to find out second day delivery doesn't go where I live! Camera has been sitting in the Fed Ex shop in Bend since the 28th and nobody in customer service could tell me! Now I get to wait around for delivery of the memory cards and belt pouch. They were shipped on the 26th, same as the camera, and got to Dilworth, Minn on the 30th at 7:43 am.Est according to Fed Ex was June 30th, didn't even come close! Nothing I buy will ever be shipped by Fed Ex again!

Anyway got the camera out and it is impressive. Beautiful camera! Started reading the instruction manual and same ole same ole! I think camera companys are in competation with phone companys to jam all they can into the product. Directions pretty hard for me to follow bu I did get to takea photo of a dog and seem's to have come out fine. But it is gonna be a chore figuring this out!. Gonna try to figure out what is has I want and ust learn that, as I said, this is a really ice camera. Be glad if the rest ever gets here!

Instructions?
It's go a dial on top with P on it :)

The Panasonic menus are very easy to find things in, but when all else fails, the instructions help.

But by doing it that way round, the instructions become easy to follow.
Also, the .pdf format of new Panasonic manuals are very easy to follow and find things, with links to tasks and features, and cross links to other relevant info, so may be worth downloading if it is not on the disc.

I have not owned one, as in a compact I want the extra zoom, but I have only heard good about them, and the TZ series give the best results in class for my usage, so I'm sure you will enjoy it :)

I am gonna work on it. The camera is very very nice and seem built like a tank. I'll see what I see!
