Hi

I'm after a bit of advice regarding using a Metz45 CL-4 flash and a Nikon D200. Are they compatible if connected via the sync cable using both the camera and flash fully manual. Having read various post's about the trigger voltage's and getting totally confused I want to know if all will be ok before i connect everything up.

Many Thanks in advance

Cheers

You can get a module that will make it full ttl for the nikon d200. iirc it is about £60.

The 45cl should be ok voltage wise, the early plain metz 45's were very high voltage, indeed I have actually had decent shocks off the hot shoe in the wet (film cameras) enough to make me jump and swear a lot anyway, but the later ones had a much lower voltage. I have used a later plain 45 on lots of different digital cameras with no ill effects.

Thanks for the replies, well I took the plunge everything worked fine so I'm now looking forward to the RAC Rally this weekend to give it a proper try!

Cheers
