Metz have filed for insolvency with a view to restructure the company.
I have had for over 9 years a CL-45 & for the past year a MZ-76 both have been without issue.
The CL-45 was not used for 7 years due to illness & my being unable to use/hold a camera, it fired up first time after a single recharge after all that time.
The Metz guns have a very low voltage output on some of their models ie the non digital CL-45 is, (there is a digital CL-45 version, it says 'CL-45 Digital')
These can be used directly via the pc sync connection on your camera without issue leaving the hot shoe free for??? Something...
The MZ-76 I now use has ETTL II & works fine, I hope they get back on their corporate feet.
