Has anyone got this type of Flash and if so, what is the difference between 45 CL-4 and a 45 CT-4 please?

I have the 45 CL-4 without the instruction booklet and I would like to use it with my 5D and 20D Canon Cameras but don't want to damage my gear. Can someone advise me on it's use please. It has the bracket, lead and battery magazine. Thanks

I think mines a 60 ct4 which works without an problems with my EOS and Mamiya. I'm pretty sure that I downloaded a copy of the manual from the Metz website but it wasn't easy to find.

I can't see why there would be problem though. I know some studio head/sync lead combinations can cause issues for these sensitive digi cams but I've not heard of any Metz issues.

You could remove all doubt by giving the tech dept a call though. :)

It's mainly the voltages that you should be worried about

Looking at This Page it seems the 60 CT4 is 5v, and is reported as safe on a Canon EOS body.

While the 45 CL4 is reported as :

45CL4
Your Call
16.85-16.88V measured by Lee Phek Thong;
Teemu Virtanen measured 14V and
spoke to Metz directly about their newest G2 adapter

and the 45 CT4

45CT4
Your Call...
14V with NiCds, reported by Peter Andersen
25V measured by Frank Melchinger... (different editions?)
and Anders Lilja reported 24.7V, but it dropped to a safe 4.56V when connected to the Metz Adaptor SCA311,
12.7V from "Mike in Germany"

Personally I'm not sure I would risk it myself.
